I do think the lack of being able to manufacture runs is a concern, and maybe there is some truth to this team being "streaky". The Rays are threatening right now, and we still have a couple of more chances.

Rays had based loaded one out and don’t score and 1/2 nobody out can’t get bunt down and don’t score.

No, but he could impact this lineup as a DH or playing 3b with Westburg going to 2b...Im just stating the obvious...

I’m all for him at DH. Now find someone to send down.

    • I just rewatched the highlight.  He was further from the bag than I had remembered.  I guess he had a chance, but it would  have been a very difficult play to make balance.     If you have an iPhone you can screen shot and save to photos.   Bottom left of message box there is a button next to paper clip icon where you can load photos from you save photos on your photo.  Screen shots are typically not too big of a file to upload.
    • Olney reporting this morning that the O’s are looking for a RHH and are willing to take on money to do so.
    • It’s also possible he’s not the world clsss defender so many make him out to be. I think he’s very good. Definitely above average but he’s not elite and he’s not a true GG candidate imo.  In that I mean, I think there are several guys clearly ahead of him.  That doesn’t mean he’s not good, just that others are better. Right now, he’s in a slump. He’s not hitting for power and he’s not playing good defense. He’s fighting some things now and needs to get out of his funk. He’s obviously not this bad but he’s gotten into some lazy habits and just isn’t performing well. It doesn’t mean he has the yips.
    • He reminds me of Delmon Young. Both with hitting and fielding. For better or worse. Haha. But he does fit the profile of the RH bat for lefties and our wall. His numbers aren’t strictly HR driven. He’s a high contact, gap to gap hitter. Versus the all or nothing try and hit the ball over the LF wall approach.  As a cheap bat, role player, we could do alot worse.  Gotta love the 1.100+ OPS vs LHP.
    • Ya seeing the Phillies bullpen and the fact they had such depth they were ok with losing Dominguez, we really are not post season caliber compared to our peers. I would also point to CLE, MIL, even SD got stronger yesterday. We need more high leverage guys that can miss bats
    • If we are willing to shell out those kind of resources, wouldn’t it be better for roster construction to get one of those starters and an elite reliever like Miller instead? Not that any of this is plausible/realistic given the front office’s MO.
    • Miguel Andújar, when I last saw him, made Kjerstad look like a GG finalist in LF.  I’d be surprised.
