O's early guess at a playoff roster for first series...

I don't think they really had anyone else to start.  They did a bullpen game yesterday, so I'm guessing they thought they didn't have enough relievers to do another one today.  I'm guessing the only other option was to bring up McDermott or Young, but that's pretty unrealistic considering they may only get through a few innings.

Actually, I forgot they could have maybe brought up Trevor Rogers rather than Young or McDermott, but clearly they decided against that.  But I don't think they want to use Suarez out of the bullpen in WC series when they'd rather have him fresh for the following series, probably as a starter.

I guess but it still seems like a waste of a guy who could really contribute.

I think they think it would be a waste use him out of the bullpen in the WC round when he could be fresh as a starter for the ALDS round.

I didn't do too bad. I totally forgot about Selby. He's in for Bowman.
