Ban me for what? Speaking my mind and responding in kind to ridiculous character assasinations?

Not one of you geniuses has yet stood up and said: "Jim Palmer is a great broadcaster." Because you know he sucks. Everyone does.

You just love him because he's an O.

Well I appreciate what he did 40 years ago too. But that isn't a permanent life pass.

And I don't see an hammer and a sickle on this site, do I? This isn't the soviet union yet is it? free speech and all that.

I'm an O's fan since 1969. I expect I've loved them far longer than most of you on this board. So excuse me if I don't spend my life on a ridiculous forum and know every fact about baseball and I missed that someone died. Wow! amazing!

Well, you should probably get your facts in order if you're going to call somebody an embarrassment.

Would you be willing to call Jim Palmer an embarrassment to his face? Somehow I doubt it. Instead you're ripping him on a message board and acting like a "'tough' guy."

They're both major leaguers but come on.

And clearly. I didn't know people felt this way about Palmer. I truly thought most people would agree. To say I'm shocked is an understatement.

The people who post here care about the overall quality of the discussion and can take it personally when someone else doesn't. Tone back the insults and discuss facts and you'll be welcomed.

      I would hope the ownership is going to spend some money on some pitching of some kind and put money into hitters that have a game plan and not just free swinging.

      You didn't mention Eflin coming back. Eflin Grayson Kremer Povich plus Young, McDermott, Rogers, and Suarez... That's really a decent group with depth. I'd love another SP but I have a feeling Eflin is our Burnes replacement.  The current bullpen plus Bautista would be pretty strong. If Bautista isn't right, then trade for someone else.  I think the big need is a matchup proof MOO bat. Preferably RHB who gets on base more and strikes out less than Mountcastle. I wonder how many years Christian Walker is looking for? He's no Soto but I think he'd be a better version of Mountcastle (.804, .830, .803 vs .729, .779, .733). Better than Mountcastle defensively as well (13 vs 2 OAA). At 34, we can probably get him for 2-3 years.  Let Santander walk and replace him with Kjerstad and Mayo platoon, maybe with Slater or another RHB in that role.  We should not assume that Mayo and Holliday are going to be productive. Hope for the best but plan for the worst. We need to get used to the idea that prospects have risk and don't always pan out the way Gunnar and Adley did.

      There are plenty of legit questions and things to address. Gunnar’s playoff performance is not one of them. He had two bad games on a big stage. Happens even to clutch guys. That’s why you have teammates. This was a collective offensive failure. I’ll give Mullins the one pass  I want Gunnar to focus on fixing his throwing motion and cutting down the unforced fielding errors.
