The news on right-handed reliever Stu Pomeranz isn?t as optimistic. Pomeranz, who has provided the Orioles with a stabilizing long-relief option in the bullpen, had an MRI taken earlier Monday that Showalter said revealed a tear.

Not very encouraging, Showalter said. He's got a pretty good tear in there. So I don't think it will be an imminent DL return. That's the early read on it.
