I thought he said curveball. I remember that distinctly because when Palmer repeated it, I had remembered a poster here mentioning Guthrie's intention, in spring training, to throw more curves this year, and that thinner air would impede that. Then again his slider is crap this year too.

I'd trade Kevin Gregg for him, but I doubt the Rockies would trade him back due to the fact they traded for him from us. Also, I get the feeling that Buck was not a Guthrie fan.

If I owned the team I would try to do this. Get some powerful fans and over pressure the whole park. Get it more like sea level. Their park just sucks. I dont think FA pitchers will ever want to go there.

The should just draft guys with big powerful fastballs and a change up. They should forget about curveball slider guys.
