Eh, Wieters swung yesterday and Jones was safe today. It evens out over the year.

Still, I wish there was more replay so that it didn't have to even out.

Is it just me or is there a real bias in favor of the Red Sox and Yankees on calls by umps? I mean there was daylight between the glove and the ball when Jones reached the bag. The only way the ump can make that call is if he's already decided that he's calling the runner out before the play actually happens. He saw what he expected to see.

Not only were we robbed of at least a run right there, but we finally had Cook throwing some pitches that inning. Now, he is spared of throwing more than he did (he had thrown 11 that inning when Adam was jobbed by the call.)

Why didn't Buck get out of the dugout and give that ump and earfull on a call like that?
