No Oriole has homered in first 4 games of a season. In MLB history, just 3 have. Willie Mays (71), Mark McGwire (98), & Nelson Cruz (11)

Thank you. Homered in the first 4 games to start the season. Good info.

If Chris Davis homers today, he will not only be the first Oriole ever to do so, but he will also tie the major league record currently held by Willie Mays, Mark McGwire, and Nelson Cruz.

What are the numbers next to Mays, McGwire and Cruz?

I think we should trade him. Trade high. :leaving:

I feel like Cindy, except with Davis. They call him Crush not because he crushes the ball, but because all of Baltimore will soon if not already have a man crush on him.

It would have to be really really high to appease me.

Looks like we finally got that big slugging first baseman El Trea couldn't STFU about for all those years. Awesome how that came to be. Didn't MacPhail make that trade? And doesn't he cost a fraction of what Tex does?

Interesting how that works out. I thought we wouldn't be able to get a stud first baseman after Tex and Fielder because all the FA classes after them were all dried out.

Crazy that Mays did it in 1971 at age 40. Only hit 18 homers on the season...lead the league in on base percentage, though.
