Why is there some idiot with a crappy red sox shirt on in the crowd? Didn't he get the "GET THE **** OUT" memo?

Not to mention the "Your team just threw up the white flag" memo.

Some guy with a Yankee hat on was cheering the O's last night, with a kid with an O's hat on. Weird.

I think it's really funny that people complain so much when we don't take pitches and then they complain that Mark Reynolds is a bad hitter. I don't know if they're the same posters but if I was building an offense, I'd want nine guys with a Mark Reynolds approach and four more on the bench.

"And here's Clemens in the wind up pitching to Vizquel. 37 MPH fastball. Vizquel leans way out of his Rascal and over the plate to reach that pitch. Solid contact as he lines the pitch several feet in front of the batters box! Clemens is really moving - who knew you could go that fast with a walker! But Vizquel's motoring down the line, literally! This will be a close play at first. Oh no, Clemens looks to have dropped his oxygen tank. He's tangled up his walker in the tubing! Vizquel's looking back to see whether he's going to beat the throw and he's steered his Rascal out of the bathpath! The Umps called him out!! Next up to face Clemens is Raul Ibanez who's being rolled up to the plate by his Designated Wheeler. Wait I'm hearing there will be a short time-out while Clemens changes his diapers. We'll be right back with more action after a short message from our sponsor, Metamucil."

BRANDON MORROW O(FINAL NUMBERS)

IP:O 4.67

H:o. 6

R:O. 4

ER:) 2

BB:. 1

SO:. 7

Pitches: 88 (56 Strikes, 32 Balls)

2012 ERA: 3.56

Given how Morrow and Cook both recently imploded after several people in the game thread said they were "dominant" and "on their game" I'm beginning to think we should make it a tradition to say this about EVERY opposing pitcher.

He obviously isn't a bandwagon fan, so for that I have respect for him.

He's wearing his team colors in spite of the fact that his team is having a crappy season.

I always wear my Oriole colors to all baseball games, even if they aren't playing.

Well any mojo that was present just went away by you mentioning it.

    • Wow. “Near-ready starter” and consideration in the top 100 based on a breakout in 17.1 IP in AA as a 25 year old? I’d love to see it obviously, but that seems really going out on a limb. Young hasn’t pitched nearly enough in his whole professional career to suggest he can hold up under a full SP workload, or sustain this velo bump. I’m excited for Young and this only reinforces my thought that the Orioles might have something here, but my hopes are still just for a healthy season and maybe he becomes a RP option in 2025.
