Even if Baumann, Ramirez and a couple of the others are mediocre or below-average, it doesn't mean they are that easily replaced at this point in the season. What if Bradish and Wells still aren't healthy enough or get hurt again? Or what if Means and Perez pitch worse than Ramirez? All of this may seem extreme but it's definitely possible. This is why it's difficult to part ways with the likes of Baumann or Ramirez. If they leave there is no backfill that is easily filled, at least not until the team is ready to tryout Povich or McDermott as relievers. -

Some may not know, but Lowenstein actually was an infielder/outfielder in the minors and played 70 games at 2B at the major league level before that game, so it wasn't a huge stretch for him to be there. He just hadn't played 2B since 1975. -

So Day 2 …. Hoping for an OT and a DE. I think we can find a complimentary WR and a solid IOL in the 4th round. -
Maybe he can call Ripken up and beg. Cal should say you get the number of the Oriole you hit like. Bill Ripken. Give him number 3. Dont give him number 7 till he hits big league pitching.

He struck out 18 of 34 at bats. His fielding was shaky. He needed to be sent down. I would have loved to see him come up and pull a Machado....but he honestly looks like a 16 year old HS player playing in the majors. Would like to see him go down and work on that high step he takes before each swing. It really screws up his timing when facing elite pitching imo. Also could probably fill out and mature a little. Not so much mentally but physically.
