Sad News from Oakland

Hey all, I live out here in Oakland and saw this sad news today that Pat Neshek's newborn son died. I knew he was missing this series against Texas to be with his wife, but news came down today that it was tragic. He never pitched for us, but he was still part of our organization this year. So sad. Thoughts out to him and his family.

Wow, without explanation? That is just awful. Obviously it's awful regardless, but when there are no signs of distress, I can't even imagine the pain.

Certainly makes you realize how irrelevant baseball is.
