It's like he was so focused on not showing the Orioles too much praise he forgot them altogether.

I found that so confusing - I can't imagine you'd bring in a guy who played his entire career for one of the featured ballclubs for his objectivity (especially when they shift you to that series once your former team makes it). So it felt like Cal was completely confused over his role in the booth.
