It's why he sucked in the playoffs and it's why he's unreliable in tight meaningful games.

Sometimes he'll get one, but just imagine how good he could be if he learned situational hitting.

He does it in spurts. In the very beginning of the season he was content to make contact in big spots. Not recently though. After enough reps, he reverts to old habits it seems.
