No interest on the Orioles part. They will try to sign Arroyo for two years and $21 million total or trade for Samardzija who is close to working out an extension with the Cubs. I hope the Cubs sign Tanaka.

What's the scouting report on Tanaka, anyway? His strikeout numbers are pretty good, but not quite as good as Darvish. He's also had somewhat low innings counts in two of the last four years. Is he more of a control guy? Has he dealt with any injuries?

I believe I read that a lot of scouts consider his ceiling higher than Darvish's.
