I wish the Orioles had done this to Brian Roberts ten years ago. He was the king of the lollygag.

Better than that, they banished him to the Skanks where he can lollygag his way in front of the "boo birds". #GIDP

Irony with Harper, as pointed own on MLB, he was the champion of over-achieving and hustling too much and many complained he was "showing them up". #gofigger

As someone who enjoys what Harper brings to the table, I had no problem with the play at all. Agree with Can on this one #yikes and await Stotle for final affirmation. :slytf: #eyeblack #Brylcream

I hope those fools sign him to a ten year contract now.

Oh Weams....put down the Hatorade. Despite popular consensus nobody gets a fandom metal for being bizarrely loyal and full of hate for a near geographic team that plays you a few times a year.

He pulled his quad badly enough to miss a game earlier this week.

I have to disagree with you on this one, the important part is keeping the bat in the lineup. I said in another thread, Williams will lose a war if he tries to fight one.

No he won't. Bryce Harper will be the first one to admit he should have run harder.

They probably will ........

NATIONALS SIGN KEVIN FRANDSEN TO 10-YEAR, $200 MILLION EXTENSION

(By Adam Kilgore)

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Highly impressed by his gritty plate appearance in place of Bryce Harper which resulted in an RBI ground-out, the Nationals have offered utility infielder Kevin Frandsen a 10-year, $200 Million extension.

Mike Rizzo stated that "It's not easy to find a player that will come into a game unexpectedly like that, and give so much of himself. A 4-3 loss is definitely more impressive and imposing in the books than a 4-2 loss is, and that is what may have happened had Frandsen not come in and contributed his RBI-groundout to Matt Carpenter. His effort not only drove in Zach Walters, but it also advanced Denard Span to 3rd base with the potential tying run. When other teams see the Nationals coming into their stadium for a 3-game set, they are certain to be wary of the fact that we don't just lose games, but we lose them close, and respectable. 4-3 with the potential tying run dying a mere 90-feet from the plate ...... it just doesn't get any closer than that."

"Anyway, enough of my rambling ....... I want to assure Nationals fans that WE WILL NEVER trade Fransen, and we expect him to retire as a National, as he will be 42 years-old by the time that this 10-year extension expires. We've got this kid for life, and as far as I'm concerned, he will be bleeding Nationals red forever along with the rest of us."

If the F.O. and Ownership ever thinks that the two can not coexist, it will be Williams that will be gone.

If that doesn't come to pass then it doesn't come to pass.

That's what happened with George Bell and (manager) Jimy Williams with the Blue Jays in the late 80's.

So, is it Harper that has been starting those clubhouse talks about Williams PED use?
