Im sorry but I dont see any reason to applaud him for what he DID when.he was being cheered for.madly at the time he was doing it.

I dont think BRob will cry or feel unappreciated by the Os fan base if.he didn't get a standing O.

Then I would say you're not much of an Oriole fan, but that would just be my opinion.

He didn't write his own name on the lineup card.

Buck was responsible for that.

So why are you blaming the player?

Buck is the Scorpion. You can't fault him for his nature. His nature is to defer to his vets to a fault. The longest tenured Oriole tells Buck he can play, Buck plays him.

Roberts shouldn't have put him in that situation.

Yep, I have no problem with Roberts being a Yankee. I'm just glad he's not an Oriole anymore. Completely different scenario than Mu$$ina.

I swear, between you and my wife, I'm not sure which of the two of you hates Moose more? Judging by your stance, many will say you, but being that years after hs retirement and 14 years since he left Baltimore, and my wife still calls him "The Pig" I gotta go with Krissy on this one!

You guys have like a Moose Hatred Club card in your wallets or anything???? :D

This and exactly how do you know he rushed back? Do you have inside knowledge about how he felt and how healthy he was when he came back? Or is this just your biased opinion?

So Adam Jones made me curious with his twitter post...

Man have his all to the @Orioles. I know ur the oppo now but respect
— 10 (@SimplyAJ10) <a href="

What would you do if you were at the game tonight?

He's a GOOD Oriole why would you BOO him

Roberts played all or parts of 13 seasons with the O's. Only 9 players have played more games as an Oriole. His 351 doubles as an Oriole put him behind only Cal, Brooks, and Eddie. His 278 stolen bases put him behind only Brady. His 56 doubles in 2009 are the most by an Oriole and are still the most in the majors since 2002.

Why anyone would boo Brian is beyond me.

I disagree. Don't follow anyone, do what your heart feels but only if your head thinks is a smart idea.

Could be wrong but I don't think the Os faithful gave Jeremy Guthrie a standing O when he played against us for the first time. And I felt he deserved it more than BRob.

Could be wrong on this also but didnt Mussina get booed when he became a Yankee?

Mussina left at the top of his career. And the O's front office at least made some attempt to re-sign him.

But he wanted more money and what he thought would be an easy ring. So he left.

After several injury filled seasons, Roberts was non-tendered by the O's and ended up with the Yankees.

Appels and Oranjes.

They say time heals all wounds.

But, in this case, the Mussina haters will always hate him.

Heck Johnny U. left the colts and played for another team, without the hatred that Moose has got.

And Moose got what was, allegedly, a very nice ovation just for happening to get spotted in the crowd earlier this season.

Roberts will be treated kindly, I suspect.

Just because Yankees and Red Sox fans are classless does not mean Orioles fans should follow suit.

The bolded part above is so ridiculous I cannot even comment. Go back and watch Cal Ripken's final series in NY and tell me how the fans treated him...an enemy for 21 years!

Cal.Ripken is a different bread and meant A TON TO THE GAME OF BASEBALL, not just the Os. That comment is more ridiculous than mine.

And how is it classless to not applaud him? Like I said I'm not advocating booing him. I'm simply arguing he doesn't deserve a standing O.

How is that classless?
