OK now I am starting to get annoyed.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF OPTIONS, AND PLENTY OF POSITIONS TO BE FILLED!

Thousands and thousands of willing applicants. Pitching in Independent and beer leagues throughout the nation. Few that have faced the pressure of playoff race baseball. Successfully or not.

And JJ is the only option for the back of the bullpen?

Why would they use him at the back of the bullpen. If JJ gets it back together in Norfolk, he becomes a great option for the 6th inning if Tommy Hunter has pitched the previous two games. He also could replace Hunter if Tommy and Matusz are traded for a 2B. No one knows what's going to happen in baseball, so you'd better have as much ammunition as possible.

No one never said he still couldn't throw hard, he's just not all that good.

No, he is not all that good. Neither is Evan Meek, Preston Guilmet, Robert Coello, Mychal Givens, Matt Hobgood or any of the other guys we might try.

You think they are going to put Hobgood on the 40-man roster?

Well, a lot of posters are saying that we need a 2nd baseman.

If Ron Washington could teach catcher Scott Hattiebrrg to play first base, our coaches could teach Matt Hobgood how to play 2nd base ...... and to hit well, also.

Does he have the arm to handle the throws?
