My opinion:

1. Tulo

2. Desmond

3. Peralta

4. Hardy

5. Simmons

6. Reyes

7. A. Ramirez

8. Aybar

9. Rollins

10. Andrus

1. Trout

2. McCutchen

3. Gomez

4. Puig

5. Jones

6. Ellsbury

7. Ozuna

8. Lagares

9. Span

10. B. Hamilton

No Michael Brantley or Starlin Castro? They should both be safely in the top 10. Brantley's 6.6fWAR put him 3rd for CFers last year and Castro was on pace for 3.5fWAR before his freak sliding incident which would have put him 5th.

I'm assuming this is a ranking of both offense and defense? Otherwise Hardy would be close to #1.

That's correct, although Hardy went up in the rankings mainly due to his consistent defense. Simmons was a surprising tenth.

If the Orioles had the #5 player at every position they'd win 120 games. So, good for them, moving on...

Jordy Mercer is a head scratcher unless his defense is just phenomenal. I'd have Rollins and Escobar at the end of my list for SS and remove Mercer and Lowrie.

Mercer is a solid player but certainly not the 6th best SS in baseball. I'd take Simmons over him any day even though he can't hit. Jed Lowrie isn't good. I don't know how he made the list.

I also think Reyes is being underrated here. He's experienced injuries the last two years. With what he brings to the plate and his speed I would probably take him over Hardy. I've seen mixed reviews on Peralta's defense. I know WAR had him ranked pretty high last year. All in all my top five would be:

1. Tulo

2. Reyes

3. Peralta

4. Hardy

5. Desmond
