Typically the only numbers you will ever see are full season equivalents, that is the total of season tickets with 81 game plan seats counting as 1, 29-game plans counting as .36 and 13 game plans counting as .16. That number is not usually publicly available, but it tends to be fairly consistently around 60-65 percent of the total attendance. So for last season, figure 18 to 20 thousand season ticket equivalents for the 30,426 average attendance. I'm not sure I have ever seen a full breakdown of each plan. Obviously they sold season ticket plans during the postseason last year, so both numbers will likely increase.

If anyone has worked in the ticket office, they would have more exact figures but these are decent ballpark numbers, no pun intended.

Where is SportsGuy when you really need him?

I heard for people who placed deposits and are new season ticket holders that they should get the process rolling for them sometime late next week. Payment is due by February 13th for the old season ticket holders. They will give a few extra days ,just in case they are a little late paying. Also remember this date:

All Season Plan Members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to Opening Day via an online presale, based on seniority, which will take place on Thursday, March 19. On a first-come first-served basis, members will be eligible to purchase one Opening Day ticket for each Plan Seat purchased during the pre-sale, not to exceed 6 tickets. Opening Day tickets are not available to the general public. All sales will be subject to availability.

I think everyone is freaking out over nothing..... I think when its all said and done every 13 game plan owner will be able to get tickets to 1 game per series if the Orioles make the playoffs. It might not be "guaranteed" but I am sure with presales you will be able to get tickets to at least 1 game per series.

I also think people should stop hating on people with 29 and 81 game plan holders and their rights to more than you. This year they wont be guaranteed as much either. Keep in mind 29 game plan holders invested more than twice as much in the Orioles than the 13 game plan holders. 81 game plan holders invested more than 6 times that of 13 game plan holders. More investment in the team better perks. I think that makes sense and is fair.

It could be worse the Orioles could not offer the chance to buy tickets for post season games to anyone in terms of a presale. We get better pricing than the general public and those games will sellout regardless if there is a presale or not. The Orioles could not offer that and take home more by just selling at the increased pricing to the general public.

The Orioles aren't doing a real good job explaining things to their 13 game holders. The Opening Day and postseason info is very vauge. Right when they put the renewals out they slip in about Opening Day being based on senority. Where the cutoff is nobody knows.

It isn't like they let people know this back in November. A month after the holidays and only 2 months before Opening Day they finally release ticket renewals and slip this info in. The biggest reason I became a 13 game plan holder was for Opening Day. Certainly 29 game holders should get more perks, not arguing that. As far as postseason are the Orioles saying including the full 81 plan holders plus all 13 plan holders that they have more than 45,000 of those? Last year all 13 plan holders got the 2nd game of each series. Now they are saying it is based on senority. I think they have done a poor job here.

Got my 13 Game Sunday plan hooked up this afternoon. Section 12 Row 6 in Lower Box. Surprised I was able to get so close to the field on the 13 gamer. I'm pumped!

Nice. I was in sect 12 row 4 about 10 years ago....very very good seats. I was right behind the ballgirl.

I've only sat in Section 12 one time and I wasn't a fan. The seats are angled so that in order to see home plate and you have to sit sideways. My neck was killing me by the 5th inning.

I think Section 8 is the best place to sit if you are down the right field line.

    • How about..." we wont win another game in the regular season"?
    • i still like that winning your division matters, at least a little bit.  So I think there's a happy medium between how unbalanced it was, and what you are suggesting.  13 games vs each division team feels right to me, but there are going to be years where that skews the WC thing a bit, because there's always one really bad team, it seems, somewhere (not always as bad as the ChiSox, of course).  I'm not sure how else to further balance it.  Maybe cut back on the NL stuff a bit and play more games against your non-divisional conference rivals so at least there's more head to head to base the WC on.
    • Apparently this post of mine from one year ago killed this thread, as it was the last before today's bump.  In re-reading that, I am reminded (by a past version of myself, LOL) of why I love this sport.  It was actually a bit invigorating reading that back to myself.  LETS GO BIRDS!
    • I've found the older I get, the less interest I have in watching my teams lose. It's a waste of time so I find something else to do. Watching my team lose is not enjoyable so I'd rather do something I'd enjoy. It's not like I'm that old either, just 47. I get a lot more enjoyment out of watching good games with other teams, to be honest. Watching the Bills in the first half last night was fun. The Redskins/Bengals game was fun to watch. Man City and Arsenal on Sunday was great. The Chiefs/Falcons game was a good game. There were a few decent college football games this last weekend as well. I'll watch the game to start tonight and if the O's are down 3-0 after the 1st inning, I'll find something else to do, probably watch some of the other MLB games that have playoff implications.
    • It will be interesting to see if there is any carry over from the HBP's culminating in Heston's beaning.  Hate to say it but that's around when the .500 play started, now much worse.  I did like the way HK stared down Holmes after being hit-I think this series will mean a little more to him.
    • It’s O’s and Yanks. Good guys versus bad guys. Baby Birds up against the Evil Empire — and another trip to the post-season is in the cards. I’ve been cheering for the O’s and very specifically against the Yanks going on six decades, and I’m getting good at it. So, yeah. I’m fired up. Now ask me about hopes and dreams. I don’t think this Orioles team is going to make a run to WS this year.  They have scuffled, they have failed — but I’m reminded, even in the platinum age of data — baseball is still a game of failure.  And man, runners in scoring position over the last week, I’m not sure I want to know that number. They’re still my guys. As long as they’re in it, so am I.
