Chiti’s contract expired on Oct. 31 and he hadn’t been offered a new contract by the Orioles before taking the position with the Braves.

I'm uncertain that the Chiti thing was ever a thing for the Orioles without Wallace. I think they go outside.

This tells me FO wants to clean house from a pitching perspective and frankly I view this as a positive. Could we see Mike Griffin and Alan Mills soon?

How would promoting guys from within be cleaning house?

Griffin and Mills have paid their dues in our system. They deserve serious consideration. Wallace and Chiti have been around the block a few times.

It seems that our pitchers K/9 drop significantly when reaching Mills at Bowie. Kinda strange.

Chris Lee, Jason Garcia and David Hess all posted terrible K/9 rates in Bowie this year after having excellent strikeout rates earlier in their careers. I'm not sure that the higher quality of hitter completely accounts for that. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that Mills encourages pitching to contact.
