Even Palmer was confused there.   If there was a wheel play.  Davis stays at first; Schoop to 2nd.  If there was no wheel play, Manny stays at third, Flaherty to 2nd, Schoop to 1st.   Hunter and Palmer had no interest in deconstructing it.       Someone missed the sign or assignment.

Manny charged like there was a wheel play; Flahernty went to 3rd like there was a wheel play.    Davis charged like there was not a wheel play.  Schoop went to 1st like there was not a wheel play,

The biggest problem is that I increasingly think Gausman is becoming a head case like Arrieta.  He knew this was a huge game, so he was overthinking. overthrowing.  Once we got him a 5 spot, it turned it up on him and he cracked.

Kansas is 23rd in bullpen ERA coming into this game.  It's not the Royals dominant bullpens if the past, the Orioles are just struggling right now especially Manny and Jones.
