The first one, I get. The second one? It was closer than I thought it would be, but Judge was way too shallow.

The second time he was running on Judge, which was a risky at best call by Dickerson. He would have scored, but Sanchez blocked the plate and in the slide his trailing foot got caught up on Sanchez' shin guard. His leading foot was in the air because it had to go over Sanchez.

It was a very good game, and the first time I've watched an entire game in months.

Judge hasn't been back from the DL for long, maybe checking for rust?

Maybe, I wonder if he also may have been concerned about the guys at the bottom of the order knocking him in from third.

I doubt it, since it was the #9 hitter that sent the ball to Judge.

Today in the bottom of the 6th, Wilkerson (playing at 2nd due to an injury to Valera earlier) ranged to his left and made a nice diving stop, spin, and throw from his knees for an out.

Wilkerson with ANOTHER "range to left, dive, spin, and throw from knees." This time, it ends the game.

Nice game ending play by Wilkerson,  sliding to get to a ball deep in the 1B hole and throwing from his knees for the out.

To the surprise of nobody, the O’s got no Gold Glove nominations in 2018.   I believe it’s the first time since Rawlings started announcing three nominees per position that we failed to have at least one.    

Nick Markakis was a nominee in RF in the NL.
