He does not play any shortstop. It might be a replacement for Danny at some point.

Worth the risk to me because he could really become a hitter.  Another kid without a position though.  I sure hope we see Rasmus, Gentry, and some other guys move on.

It isn't that hard to find guys that can hit but not field.

I don't see how he's worth a spot on the 40 when we already have a backlog of this style of player.

He is out of options.

He will be DFA'd in a effort to get him to AAA.  He will be outrighted if he clears.

He is probably the Tides DH.

Buck said in the after game presser that he will not impact the major league roster.

Buck did let that slip out he said. So looks like we will be immediately DFA’ing him.

No. He will probably be DFA'ed like they did to Sardinas last season to slip him thru. He is probably just Triple A depth to replace Vielma and Sardinas, since they are both out injured.

I doubt we see him play in Baltimore this season.

Buck said in the post game that this isn't going to effect the 25.

He isn't even as good a hitter or fielder as current Tide third baseman Drew Dosch.

Only thing they *might* do is send Nunez outright if he clears waivers, have him be at 3rd, and promote Dosch to be a left handed hitting platoon at 3rd.

Gentry’s OK so long as his role is limited.   He’s been worth 0.3 rWAR even though he hasn’t been hitting.   Last year he had almost exactly the same OPS as now at this point in the season, but eventually put up decent numbers.
