Hank Steinbrenner doesn't like arrogant baseball fans

Arrogant Tampa Bay fans, that is. The irony here is almost too good to be true.

"There's a lot of excitement around here from the Rays fans, but almost to a point of arrogance," he says. "They better be careful. They'll learn this (expletive) can change real quick."

He also took a shot at his team's more traditional rival...

"People in baseball know it, whether they want to admit it or not," Steinbrenner says. "It helps everyone when the Yankees are good. The Red Sox, whether they're good or not, doesn't necessarily matter, nationally. … Let's face it: The Yankees are baseball history. You're talking about 26 championships."

This guy is a dream come true for those of us who do not root for this franchise.

I gotta disagree here. I hate those arrogant Tampa Bay fans. All 40 of them. :D

Tampa fans must be the biggest band wagoners in the country. Everyone in Florida was a Dolphins fan until the Bucs won the Super Bowl, now its about 50-50 until you get to north Florida, and then USF couldn't get 20,000 fans at a football game until they reached the top 25 , then the top 10 by proxy. They still can't sell out the Trop with the team they are fielding now.

As for what Hank said, I would have to agree with his comments on the Rays.
