Aw man, cheap way to get a balk, but its still a balk. That's one way the rule has to be changed, there was no obvious intent to deceive by Waters, he was just confused.

That's about the toughest balk I've ever seen called. The ump, Ramon, and Quentin all looked completely unready for Waters to deliver.

No way that run doesn't play a big part in this game...

Seriously, yet another way for terrible umpires to :cussing: up games... as if the majority of Major League umpires who are terrible don't find enough ways on their own. :angryfire::angryfire::angryfire:

Well it's not bad umpiring, it's just an unfortunate rule, that's all. It sucks, but there it is, it's the right call by the ump.

Too bad Waters didn't throw that pitch. It probably would have gone right past Ramon and hit the ump.:laughlol:

There was no justifiable reason for the umpire not to grant time out to the hitter. Had he been reasonable, he wouldn't have created a situation where Waters was essentially forced to commit a "balk" by his failure to act.
