No more argument to play Chris Davis

Why are we rehashing all this now?   In 2015 Davis was granted a TUE for Vyvanse and posted a .923 OPS.    Apparently that drug worked for him just fine, and we’ve never heard that he’s not allowed to take that anymore.   The source of his problems lie elsewhere.

Now, if you’re just having an academic discussion of what happened in 2014, fine, but it’s not really relevant to today.

Go back to page 5 and read my post and the response (2nd to last post on the page). Plus the fact that Corn enjoys started a heated discussion with me on nearly every topic that we both post in!

You're wrong a lot.

Folks think I've got it out for them, I can barely tell you all apart.

Yet another reason I wish CD would just retire.....1B is a prime position to give a fringy guy an opportunity to to establish value for the organization. Looking at Nunez, Ruiz, Alberto, Iglesias, Severino, etc......and harkening back to 1989 with Tettleton, Milligan, Devereaux, Ballard, etc., this phase in a rebuild offers the chance to develop value through opportunity that competing organizations don't have. Particularly LH power hitters at Camden Yards.

Sadly Davis has just lost his swing, confidence, and swagger IMO. He never looks confident to me when they show him at the plate. The fact that he’s making 20+ million per season and producing nothing has to hurt his ego.

I wish the Orioles and Chris could agree on a buy out that would end his baseball career.

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I would bench him permanently and have him serve in a coach type role. Hopefully, that would be painful enough to want to walk away.

I like Davis as much as the next fan. I appreciate his contributions as a player when he was on top of his game. Now he has no baseball skills and to continue this charade is just grand theft.

I know the money is his reason to hang on. But when do you admit that your done and walk away? By the way, I’m not suggesting he retire and forfeit what’s left of his contract. I’m suggesting a compromise.

Trezza:

“Davis was out of the O's starting lineup for the third straight game on Monday, when they opened a three-game set against the Blue Jays. It was the fourth time in the past five games the Orioles have sat their struggling first baseman as they slide him into a regular reserve role.

“The left-handed-hitting Davis is batting .133 this season and has hit .186 since the start of 2017. He is owed slightly more than $46 million through the remainder of his contract, which ties him to the roster through 2022. Sources indicate that the reduction in playing time isn’t an indicator of any impending roster move; the Orioles simply don’t view him as an everyday player anymore, especially now that they are contending.

He has no value to the team! He’s tying up a spot, has no value as a defensive replacement,  and can’t pinch hit.

Wow ... so I’m wrong a lot .....but “I can barely tell you all apart.”

Those two sentences alone tell me you are trolling for a negative response.

Im shocked that you have so many here fooled in the popularity contest.

It's simple, if you say we disagree a lot, well it has to be because I think you're wrong a lot.

Why else would I disagree with you?

It's still pretty simple.

I'd say I'm sorry your ego took a bit of a hit there but I don't really care.
