To go from undrafted, pitch in a World Series, to stacking together some of the best relief innings in a generation, to All Star, that is one hell of a career, and I hope he can enjoy retirement with the satisfaction of knowing he overcame and excelled in what is an extremely difficult challenge.

All while making $50MM.  Cinderella story for sure.

Dylan Bundy is signing a minor league deal with the Mets...as Buck continues to shuffle through the old band and see which ones stick. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/mets-sign-dylan-bundy-to-minor-league-deal.html

Tommy Hunter is also joining in: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/mets-to-select-tommy-hunters-contract.html

Jonathan Arauz, DJ Stewart, Denyi Reyes, and Zack Muckenhirn all missed out on being part of the Buck world tour of former Orioles and were reassigned to the minors (and yes, I promise, all of those were former Orioles, with only Muckenhirn never reaching the big league team): https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/mets-option-brett-baty-mark-vientos.html

In other Ex-Orioles (not-Mets related) News: Hanser Alberto gets another shot at an Opening Day Roster: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/white-sox-to-select-oscar-colas-contract-leury-garcia-wont-make-opening-day-roster.html

Jose Iglesias is going down to the minors for the Marlins: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/marlins-to-select-yuli-gurriel-jose-iglesias-to-remain-in-organization.html

And somehow the Tigers were considering Tyler Nevin for an opening day role but unfortunately tore an oblique: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/03/injury-notes-nevin-severino-houser-suarez-suzuki.html

Austin Wynns is starting the season in AAA for the Giants. However, the GM had some less than stellar words about former first round pick Joey Bart, so his stint in Sacramento might be short.

Also, not technically a former Oriole, but former farmhand (and former prospect) Brett Cumberland is also assigned to Sacramento, but was bitten by the 60 day injury bug already. He appears to have strained his left toe nail.

I don't think I knew that was a thing that was possible. Before your last sentence I just assumed he had gotten hit by a pitch 18 times in Spring Training and finally succumbed.

Pat out to fight Mason McCoy for the emergency middle infield spot for Seattle. McCoy had a good spring training and has started out well in AAA this season. I do hope he gets a cup of coffee at some point, if only to say he made it.
