So we are down to (7) Pavlony, (14) Lloyd and (20) Craig, right?  Still a week left to sign them.

I’m happy that we’re getting these guys into camp quickly, especially the ones who have a realistic chance of getting some time on a full season club this year.

Collin Burns (6) as well.

Well, it no longer looks like we’re leaving a huge amount of excess cash on the table.   We went about $1.3 mm overslot on Rhodes and Willems combined.   Still a few $100 k left for the other three, if needed.

Or buy a few camper/vans for the better minor leaguers?  ?

Is there enough to sign Craig?  That's the big question now.

Is Pavalony the more important sign?   I assume they sign them both but if it was one or the other.   I'm sure they have enough for both.  I would be surprised to see Craig get more than 500K.

I thought Pavalony to be important from a standpoint of filling a much needed catcher spot in the minors, not that he doesn’t have upside, but that Craig has the higher upside.  I could be wrong.

Craig's stats and description (power & speed) certainly are lot more exciting than a potential backup catcher, that's for sure.

I think they will sign each of the draftees. Pavolony is well thought of, and probably would have gone in rounds 3-4 if not for the hand injury. Craig might get around 500k, maybe a bit more. And not that I expect it, the Orioles could go over their slot amount by 5% with no penalty. COC would absolutely be beside himself looking for something else to complain about. :)

Plan A was that they were pocketing significant money.

Plan B is that he didn't like the way they spent the money.

He hedges his bets very well.   He's covered either way.

Yep, LOL. He now says he doesn't like the players they drafted and spent the money on. All opinions are welcome. I just have to laugh when it unravels, and he sticks to his guns.

That's a positive spin on it.   Remember the months and months of suggesting the Orioles would never spend in Latin America.   When they finally did, he somehow wasn't wrong with his earlier comments.   He just changed his mind when he found new evidence to support the fact that they were spending down there.   I still can't get my head around the fact that he wouldn't admit to being wrong on that one.   There is sticking to your guns and then there is something else.   Maybe we have psychologist on board who can help with the correct term?
