Are you sure? have you checked his stats lately?  (Much rather see them call up Vavra, but not sure if Urias can play 3b fulltime)

Yeah that's fair, he got off to a hot start but you're right, not so hot right now. 

Would love Vavra, just sucks he can't play SS . Which is the only reason Owings is on the team.

He has shown decent defense at 3rd but can’t play other positions at least hasn’t played at others.

He's a pretty good defender.  That is to say I think his defense is better than what any of us expected when we picked him up.

Yeah, but I'm afraid he can't hit.  But I'd take really good defense at 3rd with no stick for this year at least.

Gutierrez is a player I want to see more of as there aren't many options at 3B currently. But with Owings, I don't get it there are other players who can play at 3B and SS in his place. 

Chris Owings has a 53 OPS+ since the start of the 2018 season. I don't get why Elias decided to sign him.

Who else can play SS (besides Mateo)?

Gutierrez  is a good defensive 3b, but he can't play any other positions (other then 1b), and he's never hit enough to be a full time 3b. Nevin can't really play 3b, and the Orioles don't need another 1b/dh on the roster
