Nor do I.  Just glad to see a very small silver lining in an otherwise very gray cloud.

Great defensive play by Odor tonight, stabbing a one-hopper up the middle probably 15 feet beyond the infield dirt and executing a really quick, strong jump-throw against his momentum that was a bullet to1B.   He’s not a good player, but he’s pretty entertaining.

After he and Jorge Mateo get cut for Henderson and Westburg, they should barnstorm around doing infield acrobatic shows like a baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

I hope Mateo stays around until we can tell whether we've got a guy who can hit and field to play SS, and even if we do he may be our best alternative for a utility infielder.

Given everything I've seen and read about Odor and his effect on teammates, I wonder whether he'd be an effective coach or manager after his playing days over -- which, even though he's only 28, may not be too far away.

It seems that this year that a .670 OPS is equivalent to a .720ish OPS in years past. That makes Odor and McKenna underrated on here a tad. 
 

At this point if we’re not going to call up Gunnar and Co., I’d rather keep Odor and chase .500 as a stepping stone for next year.

Or Odor is a better version of Taylor Teagarden. Teagarden put up a .511 OPS with the Orioles, but he managed to help out with a few key clutch hits during his short tenure with the team.
