My only worry about him early on was staying healthy. But damn is he fun to watch

Hays is on his second season in a row of being relatively healthy with 131 games played last year and 52 of 57 games so far this season. I know there were Nolan Reimold comparisons made in the past, but Reimold never played in more than 104 games in any one season.

I think Hays will have a decent career and not suffer the same fate as Reimold. Reimold is a big what-if for me as I think he's a multiple time all star if he managed to stay healthy.

Yeah, and that wasn't in the front row either.   A solid 10+ rows up.

Batting practice the day of the All Star Game, I watched Juan Gonzalez put a whole bunch of balls up there, and even off the facing of the 3rd deck.

But I suspect that they was hitting superballs that day.

I was there that day, also.  And Juan “going going gone” Gonzalez put on the show of the day.  Will never forget the third deck facade shot.  Good grief
