A right-handed pull power hitter in Fenway Park vs a lefty pitcher at a point in the game (2 out 2 on down 5) where it was worth taking a shot at a HR to propel us back in the game.

Yes I know Aguilar has been crap this year but throughout his career he has hit lefties well, with power.

He was obviously picked up to give us a RH bat vs lefties.  Yes, he has failed in that respect.  But that's why they got him and for the most part that's how they've used him.

They need to stop living in the past.   He sucks this year and Stowers had just as much,  if not better, chance of collecting a hit there.

If the FO wanted Stowers to face more lefties he would.

This is Fenway. I get why he hit a Aguilar. A three run bomb makes it a 2 run game.

The thing is, Stowers has been a much better hitter against lefties. In the minors this year his OPS against LHP was .982 compared to .820 against RHP. Last year his OPS was .951 against LHP compared to .878 against RHP.  So why would Elias and Co. not want Stowers to face LHP in the bigs?

With Stowers' MILB track record, he should be playing almost daily regardless if the pitcher is a righty or southpaw.

Our bullpen is so screwed for the rest of this series unless we get a 7 or 8 inning start from someone.

Reed will be sent down. Sulser probably up. He can go 2/3. Baker should be able to get an out or 2. Gillaspie may be available.

No Hall or Watkins. Don’t want Lopez throwing too much here. He hasn’t thrown many pitches lately at least. Tate and Felix.

Bradish has been good for us. A shame of all nights this happened. Scored plenty.

Maybe they don’t buy it.  I don’t know. We all know those stats.

I saw him hit an oppo bomb at Bowie last year off a lefty. Hanging curve ball.

Disagree with that. A base hit by Stowers with two outs (so the runners get a head start) is two runs. Aguilar's chance of getting that hit are pretty low.
