Pinch hitting Mountcastle made no sense. Why play for 1 run and then take out your best defender with no one on base. Plus if the Rays tie it and the game goes on you could’ve had a spot to use Mountcastle against a lefty later.

I just don’t understand why you just made the defense worse in that situation.

Urias is excellent at going the other way even if you don’t think he can bunt.

Not mad, just trying to understand Hyde's questionable call to pinch hit Mountcastle for Mateo with two outs and no one on losing his best defensive SS.

Agree completely, the odds of Mountcastle running into one is very low.  Much rather keep Mateo in for defense.
