Not sure why Santander didn't take a swing at those 3-0 and 3-1 fastballs.  91-92 MPH, caught a lot of the plate, looked good from here.

If he doesn't get a hit, people's heads would explode for swinging after seven straight balls.

They were up in the zone, he swung at another right down the middle at 3-2 that was a little lower. He didn't swing at any balls.

He had three 91-92 MPH FB to offer at that were strikes.

He chose to swing at one of them.

My best guess is at 3-0 and 3-1 he decided he wasn't swinging unless it was in a spot he was looking for and neither were there. I think he was looking for a low fastball.
