I would be interested. Just did a brief look at his numbers. Need to do more research.

I think I'd do either and I think Cowser/Kjerstad + Ortiz for Garrett is probably a better deal than Cowser/Kjerstad + Ortiz for Cease. 

Something to note about Garrett's numbers last year is that they are a bit inflated by a 4.1 IP, 11 ER outing against Atlanta in May. Outside of that game his ERA was 3.13 so that single game raised his season ERA over half a run. I'm not saying you can pretend that game never happened, but when I see a pitcher give up over ~8 runs I tend to put some of that on a manager decision to leave a guy out there even when he clearly doesn't have it that day.

Unfortunately, his name hasn’t come up as available.  Super cheap with 5 years of service time.   I played and was ok with either Kjerstad or Cowser going.  Garrett has an underwhelming fastball (91.3) but apparently knows how to pitch.

I’d potentially move Kjerstad for him, but I’d want to look more at this guy before deciding. Seems like he has 5 years of control left, with good K/BB numbers.

Pardon my ignorance but what is it about this guy that makes you feel he will be successful in the AL East? Looks like he has a good slider. 2SFB seems a bit underwhelming. What am I missing?

Cease is a better pitcher than Garrett.  I'd rather the surplus of HK/Cowser and Ortiz/Westburg go toward Cease.

I voted yes to Cowser or Kjerstad without looking up his fastball. Good pitcher but one with some questions to how consistent he'll be going forward.
