I thought this was a shout out to Baltimore dirt bike culture. If that's what this is, I like that a lot

Not sure about that, but going to Sunday's game where we got shut down there was a moment with the bases loaded for Adley and between pitches you could hear very loud notes coming off of some kind of speeding vehicles from outside the stadium. This was a pure coincidence (and obviously didn't result in anything happening on the fields -- Adley dribbled to the left of the infield) but I have to admit it was almost a perfect moment.

Whatever they do I'll like in the end since it is tied to something good happening, but I do feel like we've seen the handlebars by other teams. This is also fine, but the spigot/sprinklers/hose AND Mr. Splash tie in was innovative and fun.

When I see them throttling up with both hands it makes me crazy.  Throttle right hand, clutch left hand.  Learn to ride your bikes properly guys!  🙂

Exactly - I was going to say the same thing

I remember the Royals doing the same motorcycle thing during their run in 2014-15.

these things evolve naturally but I hope they’ll come up with something else.

I posted about that same thing in a game thread last weekend, or whenever the first time it happened. It's way too similar and derivative to the KC thing from the '14 postseason. Of course, most of the current O's were in middle school or younger and maybe were not paying attention then.

If it's about the 12 O'Clock boys in Baltimore, I'm onboard, as long as it's not too similar to the KC thing from '14. Maybe find a way to pop a wheelie, Mounty! 🤪

This was a very interesting and moving documentary. I see similar in my hometown of Durham, but it's older guys, not kids as young as the ones in MD.

I think riding the motorcycle thru the entire length of the dugout could be a good celebration.

They could even pop fake wheelies and other such tricks.

Sadly, twelve years on this earth, plus, two, does NOT make you a grown ass man… you’re a child, and I pray you’ll realize that and grow up to be a man.

God save us all.

    • 1) GRod could be a #1 next year 2) You don’t need a #1 to win
    • What do you think helps the O's more? Norby as a back up/platoon player next year (where he will be the weak side of that platoon as a RHB) or Norby being used as a trade chip as part of a package this season? I guess that answer will determine if he is still on the roster after the deadline.
    • I hope not. If Burnes walks at the end of the season, we are going to need a #1 in '25. None of those pitchers that you mentioned (Fedde, Tailon, Bassit, Eflin, Quantril are that. So even if we bring one in (to be our #3 this year and next), what would be your plan to get a #1 next season?
    • Norby is a candidate to replace Hays.  I’d say that’s his clearest path.
    • There is no path to really clear for either one. Mullins, Cowser, and Kjerstad are in front of Stowers as a left handed hitting outfielder for this year and next AND Stowers wil be 27 next season (well into his prime). The very best thing for him and his career at this point is to send him somewhere he will get a chance to play regularly at the Major League level. Right now, sure Norby could play 2B if you got rid of Mateo. But the problem with doing that is that you start his service clock and given that we have 2 INF who are much better/more talented at AAA (Mayo and Holliday) still yet to join the team, there is no place for him beyond this season. Unless Mayo moves to 1B or you trade him or Holliday, there is already no place for those two as is. I hope for both Norby and Stowers sake they are sent somewhere where they get a regular opportunity as both have the potential to be solid/productive MLB players.
    • Keith Law had this to say about him: USC outfielder Austin Overn (3) was probably the most disappointing player I saw in person this year. I didn’t see feel to hit or other tools to make up for it, and he hit just .274/.349/.461 in a weak Pac 12 this year before going to the Cape, where he’s been raking for a month. I didn’t even see the advertised speed, and thought he’d have to go to a corner. He’s a true center fielder, and if he can just make more contact, he’s got the slap-and-go, low-power profile that would make him a decent extra outfielder.     So yea, I think it’s fair to say the hit took is the big difference if what Law is saying here is correct.
    • Veiera has 9 walks in 15 innings with the Dbacks and a 4.76 FIP.  We're not missing out there.
