Great post. It hadn’t even dawned on me that we would get a 27th man. 

I think we need to go all out to win “Game 1” then see what happens in Game 2.

If he’s sufficiently recovered from Sunday, I’d definitely have him start the resumption of yesterday’s game.

Bullpen got an extra night of rest but now has to cover extra innings today. I wish they would play today's game first so we know how far the starter gets. For now I would go with the A team as long as it is tied or a close O's lead. I think asking Irvin for multiple innings is a stretch.

Can anyone confirm we get a 36th man when it isn't a full double header? I wonder if it could be someone like Davidson rather than Tate in case we need to cover multiple innings. I don't think we can get more than 1 each from Suarez and Irvin.

I'd be down for Irvin for the rest of the game depending on if he's recovered.  

Whatever it is, someone's gotta go over an inning and Hyde can't do his typical "one pitcher for one inning" crap.

I think planning wise maybe Means-Irvin tandem later this afternoon is the move.

In theory the relievers are more efficient at suppressing runs on a per batter basis, which is emphasized in the small box.

I had the same thought this morning.  According to this site we do get a 27th man today, but only for the second game:

In other cases, teams can call up a 27th man when they are completing a previously suspended game and have another game following the completion of the suspended game.

The 27th man is not eligible to play in the suspended game. They are only eligible to play in the originally scheduled game.
