Akin got a win he didn't deserve on Wednesday night. He may not get a win tonight but he definitely deserves one.

Big kudos to Hyde for leaving Akin in for 3.   I don't think he would have done that earlier in the season.

He had two good innings, and had the #8 and #9 hitters and a LH leadoff man to face, so it made sense to give him those 3 batters.   But earlier in the year Hyde was pulling relievers and using too many of them each game.

Leave Akin for the ninth.  That is what they did with Tippy.  You DONT have to pitch five guys a game.  That is a choice.

I think Tippy went 8 2/3 one time.  But I could be confusing pitchers.  And yes he went more than three.  Multiple times
