I think so. I mean Hays has an OPS of 7/15/30 days of 1.015, .989 and 1.020. He's trying to keep pace with Kolton Kowser who is rocking the .301/.614/.604 OPS, with a 31% K rate, but he's so much better than Hays, you see that throw on a line he made to nail the runner the other night? Me neither.

He is young and is the future. Present doesn’t matter.

1- The poster I was responding to was talking about it helping him.  If they had said that for the good of the team he needs to be replaced...

2- AAA is a wasteland of pitching and the automated strike zone makes it a poor substitute for the majors.

3- Gunnar and Adley stayed in the majors and made their adjustments there.  Elly De La Cruz didn't get sent down and learned to hit in the majors, Bobby Witt JR has gone from an OPS+ of 102-117-142.  Machado learned to hit in the majors.  I'd wager more high pedigree guys learn in the majors instead of having an epiphany when they are sent down.

Hitting is also about confidence. Hitting mediocre pitching can be helpful to a young player's confidence. If they are old veterans, that's a different story.
