Wednesday 7/10 Cubs vs. Orioles

we cant buy a hit when it matters and the crummy Cubs are outplaying us...the fact that we cant add a spark in Mayo is beyond me...sure, he could struggle...but this entire team is struggling in this series...what would it hurt to give him a few AB's? We need a RH power bat...the kid has raked all year and rarely slumps...take a damned chance...

I'm not about to buy into a relatively small sample size to justify playing Adley at DH more and much of his so called advantage hitting as a DH is canceled out by McCann's pitiful bat. Kjerstad or Mayo could be getting some of those at bats instead.

The all star break couldn't come soon enough after one off day in June and the recent west coast trip. The schedule makers in MLB haven't done the Orioles much favors this season.

Hays did same thing with two great at bats then watches a strike three when all he had to do was put a ball in play.  They really seem to be pressing today.
