And so it begins, a slow trickle of guys returning from the IL.

I like how someone put it in the game thread, it's like a new trade deadline to swap Orioles for Orioles. 

Their return brings the hope I'm clinging to for a good run in October.

I don’t think Betts played any rehab games. Around 8 weeks. Not that he is the same obviously.

Surprised to see Irvin being DFAd.  He's probably a better option in the rotation than Povich right now.

Yes, I would have expected Burch Smith, not Irvin.

We have to keep Irvin "pumped up."  When he's "deflated" he's just no good.

I was pretty skeptical of Hernaiz being anything more than a utility guy and had no issues with moving him for a guy who could potentially help in the rotation. This problem with Irvin is he went from this guy in 2023:
