I have never done any real research on the subject, but I always thought that two players the Orioles just threw away were Christian Walker  and Mike Yastrzemski.

In 2018, the team was so bad, yet buck Showalter refused to call up Mike for the final series of the year against the Red Sox.

And yet he’s had a very good career as a giant.

By the way, for some reason, I thought it was an away game so when I saw that one to nothing score, I said, “finally, they scored in the first inning.” But then I turned on my MLB app and realized that it was the other way around.

These guys just cannot hit anymore. Better hope the Tigers lose 6 because we’re going to have a hard time cutting into that magic number ourselves. 
 

And what’s messed up, if you sun Adley in for McCann, and Westburg in for a Rivera, the lineup would be basically what we hoped for. It’s just that everybody sucks all at once.

Birdsong consistently hits 4 walks a game.

the orioles inability to work a walk and consistently swing at ball 4 is beyond maddening.

Even going back to the 100 loss years I don't remember seeing this level of futility night after night from an Orioles lineup. They truly are unwatchable right now.
