Anyone else starting to worry about the lack of life in B-rob's bat?

He used to rake doubles that went all the way to the wall, rip doubles down the line and spray the ball all over the place.

Now he looks like a light hitting singles guy who can't or won't steal bases for whatever reason.

Not good. He's definitely not close to 100%. or at least I hope he isn't because if he is, we're in trouble.

I think there's no doubt that we are facing good pitching, but we are definitely in a slump as a team. We'll pull out of it. I need to start planning when to watch games according to this. Watching the team punchless at the plate can be pretty frustrating.

He is currently shaking off a year's worth of rust. Let's see where he is a couple weeks.

I think it will take time to judge him really. He's hit some hard balls. That one earlier was roped foul. I start to think the same thing at times because he has a lot of weak fly balls, but I think it will take time for him to continue to adjust.

Plus he takes pitches. Even if he was batting 0, we'd be better off with him than Andino leading off.

It is amazing how Os and other teams go into complete hitting funks with almost all hitters being in slump at the same time...then when offense is doing well, you have guys getting hits that are just extra to the outcomes of the games

Honestly, I don't remember what thread it was, but I was under the impression that our team was unique in how boom and bust we are (because of the HR, K nature of our team), but we have actually been pretty consistent compared to the rest of the league. I guess this is just baseball.
