What potential? He's 26 not exactly prospect material. I agree with playing for the future but Jones right now is the only true outfielder on the 25 man roster.

I completely agree. Except with the age thing (he turns 26 on July 26th). He's never been a tremendous prospect. He doesn't have "so much" potential. He's bad at the defensive positions the O's need him to play, and (despite today's bloop single) he's been terrible with the bat, as well.

He's wasted roster space on a good team, and he's not part of the future for a presently-bad team. Just another interchangeable, mostly-useless piece.
