Was it really that unforgivable? He was taking all the way 3-0. 3-1 he clearly got a pitch he wasn't looking for, and it was a nice bat-breaker inside from Archer but over for a strike. Then he struck out.

He was pinch hitting, after all. I'm far from a Wieters apologist--or on the Wieters bandwagon--but this seems pretty harsh.

No, it's piss poor. #-0 I got it, but 3-1? He should be sitting dead red and he got a lazy 92 MPH fastball that he should of hit in the air. That's a terrible at bat, no way around it. Especially after the guy looked like he was gassed all inning. F me that was bad.

I really hated Matt watching 2 balls go by there. You have to swing for that fly ball when you know what's coming.

Here we go with the second guessing. If he swings and doesnt come thru, you're saying "Why is he swinging" Force the pitcher to throw strikes or walk in the run. Patience was key there. Archer just grew up in a hurry.
