The Mariners are our best friends down the stretch. I'm thrilled with what they're doing today. A 3 game lead over Anaheim is such a big difference over a 2 game lead. Next they'll have Oakland, then Anaheim again. Though they're under .500, the Mariners are no easy opponent. I could see them taking at least 3 of their final 6 games.

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but wouldn't it be something to clinch a playoff birth vs Boston at home after ending Boston's playoff hopes almost 1 year ago? It would be awesome to celebrate in front of those guys in 2 consecutive seasons.
