I don't think Hunter is THE closer. He's the closer at the moment, but by not labeling him in any way, it's easier to rotate a few different arms through the 9th of we need to or if Hunter isn't effective.

He is the closer unless he loses the job.

Buck is big on the bullpen knowing their roles.

Buck did eventually name him the closer btw.

Hello all,

I found it odd that Tillman was allowed to throw more than 110 pitches so early in the season. He threw more than 100 pitches in his last game as well.

I wonder if this is representative of a new philosophy on behalf of Buck and the pitching coach.

Tillman is a horse.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Buck hasn't said anything on the topic, or at least hasn't named a closer at this point. Two opportunities certainly isn't enough to say its settled either. So I agree, he may be the closer of the moment, but I don't think anything is necessarily set in stone at this point.
