I hate a few of the reliever choices as well. Sounds like a 300 million payroll in about two years as well.

In the AL East, one player I've always liked is Evan Longoria. He's an excellent player who just quietly goes about his business. For the other AL East teams, the players I like best are:

Yankees - Carlos Beltran

Red Sox - Dustin Pedroia

Blue Jays - Russell Martin

If I could roll the clock back 10 years, I really liked Roy Halladay when he pitched for the Jays.
