I'd like Roboumps to be honest. I was watching a number of weeks back MLB Network had Eric Byrnes using them at some minor league game. It looked accurate and smooth AND there was still a home plate ump.

I think it's a matter of time. You look at sites that breakdown all the calls with pitch tracking.. it's very accurate.

1- The Ump union

2- Inertia

3- Folks worried about the "human element"

4- Teams that invested heavily in pitch framing catchers.

Money obviously isn't the problem, the problem is convincing the people in charge that it is a problem that needs to be fixed.
