Sure, but the market is fluid and sometimes you have to wait for a better time.   And this appears to be it, with the Dodgers down one superstar and Manny having a monster season so far, especially compared to last year.

Oh I agree, the ask should be high.

I was just pushing against the idea that if no one is willing to offer what you want, that makes it a lowball.

Kemp is sure one big piece of dead weight. Jettisoning Logan Forsthye (8.5-11M) would also do the trick. They have 2B depth in Utley, Hernandez, Barnes. Turner is about to be back on third.

If the Dodgers make a fair offer just pull the trigger.  Things can change in an instant and that includes Manny getting hurt.
