If they don’t strike while this iron is hot they are most inept organization in baseball. And you deal him for the best prospects you can get, regardless of position.

I disagree. We have some good outfield prospects. We have present and future first basemen. We are badly in need of infielders.

I suppose it works in the Dodgers’ favor in that if they made the deal in the very near term, they get almost 5 months of him rather than just August and September. And of course, in the O’s favor as it would seem they could demand better quality  in return.

If they can't give us a prospect short stop or third baseman they have to give us someone who can play one of those positions at a decent level.   As they had a major injury seems like they can't do either.  This isn't a charity.   If you don't have the players you don't get Manny

Dodgers are also struggling a bit, getting Manny could jump start their team.

But if we trade Manny, we should be focused on a rebuild more than a decent SS/3B for the remainder of the season. It would be nice to get an infielder because our farm system has none. But you can't sacrifice the overall talent in return just to fill a hole for the remainder of the season. If we have to call up Drew Dosch, that's what we gotta do.

They definitely have the prospects.

Give me Keibert Ruiz, Mitchell White, Gavin Lux, and Rylan Bannon.

Exactly. You take the best overall talent and figure it out later. If you wind up with 4-5 legit outfield prospects who all seem on the cusp, you pick the 1-2 you like the least and flip them for infield prospects or SP prospects.
